snow boots....
I'm so glad weather here in british columbia is back to normal now, well, its still winter though but the snow is just once in a while, like one day or just half day in a week, mostly raining 4 or 5 days a week. I can live with that, i had enough snow, one or 2 days of snow is fun but not more than that hehhe.....Now that winter is almost over, snow boots are on sale, mostly half the price, there are some 70% off. I remember me and my husband tried to look for a snow boots in several department stores last december but we cant find one as its always sold out, it sells like a cake, we just bought fancy ones which is not really good in our feet, but we dont have a choice, need to have one even if not that great. When winter started last october, ofcourse snow boots was displayed in every departments stores here, but i never bothered to buy even if my husband insisted, we never expected that it was going to be so bad, i mean going to have a snow storm here, now, when i saw the snow boots today, oh i said to my husband that i really gotta have one, i really appreciate having 1 or 2 in my shoe rack, its no fun walking in the snow with cold feet even if you wore very thick socks without a snow boots.....now i can say i'm ready for another snow day, oh not in snow storm though, i wish and i pray no snow storm ever again.....

Auction day....
me and my husband went to an auction place today, mostly are police stuff, but we went there for police vehicles. It's my first time auctioning and I had fun, there are nice nice couches, chairs, tables, paintings and bicycles which are sold for just a few dollars or hundreds, i told my husband its really a nice way to buy things, like for some bicycles was just auctioned arround 50 dollars to a 100 dollars, wow amazing, there was a nice set of racking chairs which was sold for only 60 dollars and it seems those racking chairs and foot rests are still new, and there are some stuff really sold for 5 bucks, isnt it amazing? Actually there's a lot in there, from kitchen stuff, for gardening, pumps and flooring too. But what fascinate me most are the vehicles, there are some really really good cars which are just sold from 700 to 11,000. Actually we won one, a mini black van which was used as a recruiting vehicle for police and just 170,000 kilometers and had a little rust at the hood because of the decals, probably the water sets on under the decals thats why got rusted a little portion of the hood and it was just a 2003 vehicle. the inside is clean, it runs smoothly, no major damage, the body and engine are perfectly good, well, to summarize all up, the mini van we got are still in good condition and we bought it for just cheap price, it was really a jockpot for us, really nice car and i like it. It's a good way to look for something that you can bargain on, though mostly are second hand but you can find things there that are still good. I told my husband that i might get use to this, hehhehe....well, we plan to go to an auction again on march, mostly all the contents for auctioning are from L word production, which was a popular tv series that has been stopped, there will be designer clothing and shoes, jewelries and many more. Hope we could find good stuff and bargain again.

education accreditation here in canada...
a month after i got here, i submitted my transcript of records to the BCIT office or international credential evaluation service, i wanted to know my education level here in terms of credentials and if i have a chance to work in a prefession where i belive i can apply in terms of my education attainment. I got the results in 3 weeks, unfortunately, the level of education i got from the philippines compared to the education level here in canada is just second year college. What a shame, i finished 2 courses but both are second year college level here, according to them, here before you enroll in a 4 years degree or bachelor's degree, you should finish 12 years of primary and secondary level, but for us in the philippines, is just 10 years, 6 years in elementary and 4 years for the secondary level, and so because of that, they subtract 2 years of my both 4 year courses, yikes, now i need to go back to school here again if ever i wanted to pursue with the 2 courses i finished in the philippines. For me now, i felt like i've been studying in my whole life, its so tiring to get 2 years again, i guess i will have to take or enroll pharmacy technician in which it will take 8 months to complete or maybe ASL or american sign language, hmmmmm.. lets see what would it be.....for now i want to start my life here as soon as possible....i guess its time for me to search a good school then.......

ikea...
me and my husband went to ikea today, its a big home furnishings store, we bought a a book shelf and a glass cabinet, its a curio actually, when you buy furnitures there, its all unassembled, well, for me its no fun, i'm not used to to that, in the philippines, when you buy one, its mostly assembled and if not, the salesman will assemble it for you, but here, oh you will have to do it for yourself....in ikea, no pain no gain, if you dont work or assemble it then you cant have it.......ah well, the joy of buying furnitures in ikea, but the products are nice, anyway its not that hard to assemble though, its just heavy for me.

wii for exercising....
a few days ago my husband bought me a nintendo wii console and wii fit, its a video game where you can do or engage some physical activity, wii fit is more into exercise game though using the wii balance board, i found it so interesting as i can do exercise and not just for fun, thats why its so click for the adults and teenagers as its not just for playing a game but it will benifit your health too, for just a simple bowling game, you will do an actual action in throwing the ball, so with that, it will give a little exercise, but mostly for wii fit, you can do an actual exercise, there's a cd game for that, it will monitor your balance, your weight and especially body mass index. Now, since i'm just starting, i'm into yoga, well, not sort of big yoga thing, but just a few training for yoga until i reach the strenghthening and push ups and aerobics....i'm not getting any younger so i need to to take care of my self too, i'm lazy when it comes to really exercising just to lose waight or to stay fit but with wii, i have fun playing the game and at the same time i'm exercising too, so its a big factor for me.
